Community Involvement

Community Involvement

At Sanctuary Builder, our passion for homebuilding is paired with our passion for the communities in which we work and live.  As a locally owned and operated Chandler-based company, we are honored to be able to provide our time and resources to local foundations, schools and organizations.  While we build homes and neighborhoods for homebuyers as well as enhance the lifestyles of our remodeling homeowners, we believe it is as equally important to be involved and foster the communities which we all call home. We take pride in our partnerships with the following organizations:

Melonhead Foundation: “The Melonhead Foundation is a non-profit organization. Their purpose is to support the needs of children with cancer and their families who are seeking alternative methods of healing.

These methods include any and all natural medicines and treatments, provided through a variety of facilities.

It is the foundation's belief that a whole, healthy state of being is achieved through a complete program treating body, mind and soul.

The foundation raises and disperses funds to patients for treatment needs and to the families for their personal needs in order to provide a positive nurturing environment for the patient.

Camp Wannahealyah: (www.campwannahealyah.org)

The purpose of The Melonhead Foundation’s Camp Wannahealyah is to provide a positive natural healing experience for pediatric cancer patients and their families, free of charge.

The setting of Camp Wannahealyah will be a home environment providing natural healing modalities, camp-like activities, nutritional programs and instructional techniques for children 21 years of age or younger experiencing cancer and at least one adult family member/guardian.

Camp Wannahealyah is designed to allow pediatric cancer patients and their families an opportunity to experience natural & integrative healing practices focusing on body, mind & spirit to achieve peace, harmony and balance in their lives.”

Habitat for Humanity: Did you know that remodeling your home could help provide funds for building a Habitat for Humanity home? Sanctuary Renovation and Remodel encourages and works with our homeowners to donate their usable building materials from their remodeling project to Habitat ReStores. “Habitat ReStores are retail outlets where quality used and surplus building materials are sold at a fraction of normal prices. Proceeds from ReStores help local affiliates fund the construction of Habitat houses within the community. Many affiliates across the United States and Canada operate successful ReStores—some of which raise enough funds to build an additional 10 or more houses per year.

Materials sold by Habitat ReStores are usually donated from building supply stores, contractors, demolition crews or from individuals who wish to show their support for Habitat. In addition to raising funds, ReStores help the environment by rechanneling good, usable materials into use.”

Youth Sports Programs: over the years Sanctuary Builder has taken great pride in watching children learn and understand the benefits of teamwork through sports. We are fortunate to be continual sponsors of several youth teams in the Valley.  Contributions have also been made to several Metropolitan Phoenix High School teams including the pride of our co-owner John Falcione, the Basha High School football team.

The generosity of our company continues to inspire individual contributions of our team members.  Foundations that our employees are involved in include: Susan B. Koman Race for the Cure, Breast Cancer 3-Day, The American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, Humane Society, coaching youth sports, Brownie Troops, Girl Scouts, city councils, Youth Development Programs, National Multiple Sclerosis Society and MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer).  Scott Schraml, one of our Renovation and Remodeling Project Managers passion for the MACC Fund extends past traditional contributions, “I shave my head by choice...whereas those little tykes are bald because of chemotherapy.  That doesn't seem fair so fundraising in conjunction with Ironman is the least I can do.”
